Lesson Three

In your third lesson you will learn to make a Christmas Decoration designed by the wonderful Christine Springett.

These lovely little two sided decorations make a wonderful personalised card to send to friends and family.
How long does it take to make this?
This small decoration takes approximately 8 hours to complete.  You can do this in one session or if you feel more comfortable over two session.
What will I learn?
This lesson teaches the following:
  • Half stitch (the only other stitch in lacemaking - all patterns are created from whole or half stitch)
  • Fans (that's the little squiggly blue bits on the picture)
  • Torchon ground (this is a net like effect from using half stitch)
Do I need to bring any equipment for this lesson?
If you have any lace equipment then you are welcome to bring it with you however we provide everything even down to the pins and scissors.

You just need to bring yourself and a packed lunch.  We even provide the teas and coffees.
